It is presently zoned R-1 and abutts com- <br />mercial property at the rear of the lots. <br />Ms. Hampton proposes to build a large two-story home with <br />a second living unit to serve as rental property. The struc- <br />ture has the appearance of a single-family residence rather <br />than a duplex. <br />The Planning & Zoning Commission requests a joint public <br />hearing with the City Commission to hear property owners' <br />opinions on the requested variance and to clarify the meaning <br />of the term "duplex."
