CONSIDER FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF UTILITIES IN GLEN MEADOWS, SECTION I - <br />Motion by Commissioner Kibo eaux, seconded y Commissioner C ine <br />to accept the recommendation of the City Administrator and approve <br />the utilities for final acceptance by the City for Glen Meadows, <br />Section I. A copy of the recommendation is attached and made a <br />part of these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />9. CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1143-- ORDINANCE <br />VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION OF 17TH STREET <br />LYING BETWEEN THE SOUTH'RIGHT-OF'-WAY LINE OF WEST "C" STREET <br />AND THE NORTH RIGHT-OF'-WA `LINE OF WEST D "STREET'- FRANK <br />MOHN, HOUSTON, INC. - It was determine that all the necessary <br />paper work had been completed and fees paid. After the proposed <br />ordinance was read in full, motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded <br />by Commissioner Kibodeaux to approve Ordinance No. 1143 as read. <br />• Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE <br />PORTION OF SOUTH SEVENTEENTH (17TH) STREET LYING WITHIN THE <br />AREA BOUNDED BY WEST "C" STREET AND WEST "D" STREET, AND BETWEEN <br />BLOCK SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY-SEVEN (787) AND BLOCK SEVEN HUNDRED <br />EIGHTY-EIGHT (788), IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />10. CONSIDER APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH HOUSTON PORT AUTHORITY <br />AUTHORIZING SUPPORT FIRE SERVICES AT BARBOUR'S CUT TERMINAL - <br />After a discussion regarding t e proposed agreement, motion by <br />Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Cline to table <br />approving the agreement with Houston Port Authority for support <br />fire services at Barbour's Cut Terminal for further study.
