CANVASS RESULTS OF BOND ELECTION AND CONSIDER APPROVING <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE N0. 1147 (CONTINUED) <br />PROPOSITION NO. 2 <br />FOR THE ISSUANCE OF $1,250,000 <br />WATERWORKS SYSTEM TAX BONDS 277 votes <br />AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF $1,250,000 <br />WATERWORKS SYSTEM TAX BONDS 115 votes <br />2 <br />After proposed Ordinance No. 1147 was read in full, motion <br />by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Simons <br />to approve Ordinance No. 1147 as read, declaring the results <br />of the election. Motion carried by the following votes. <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, Simons, <br />and Mayor Meza. <br />NAYES: None. <br />• CAPTION: ORDINANCE CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS <br />OF BOND ELECTION AND .DECLARING THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE <br />EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON ITS ADOPTION. <br />+ + + <br />3. ADMINISTRATIVE' REPORTS - None. <br />+ + + <br />4. CDUNCTL ACTION - Commissioner Tomerlin expressed his appreciation <br />to all those that worked on the bond election. <br />Commissioner Kibodeaux expressed his appreciation for all the <br />work on the bond election. <br />Commissioner Cline stated that she felt Martha Rose and her <br />telephone committee had done an outstanding job. <br />Commissioner Simons expressed his appreciation and further <br />stated that if it had not been for the girls, the voters would <br />• not have been out. <br />
