Transportation will: 1. Prepare eons ruction plans and specifications. 2. Provide relocation assistance as may be required sad determined to be eligible under the 8elocation Assistance Program at an estimated cost of $1,000. 3. Provide for construction of Grading, Structures and Surfacing ax an estimated cost of $2,640,000 and installation of Planking and 6outt2ern Pacific 8ailrosd Signals at an estimated coat of $59,000. Upon acceptance of the provisions of this Order by the appropriate officials of the Cities of La Porte and Pasadena and Harris County, TT IB 03ABT.ED that P`airmont Parkraap and Bay Area Boulevard extending from 5tmte Highway 146,.Wcot and South to Choate Rand, a distance of approxi.nately 3.3 miles, be and era hereby designated as 2~4ETROPOLIT~.N iiIG'fS~TAYS and the Engineer-Director is directed to proceed with the Relocation Assistance Program, to eater into any necessary agreements with the Cities and/or County caveria; the details of the proposed improvements, to proceed with the engineering developrnrrtt of the protect and after. the Cities and County have fulfilled their responsibilities, to proceed with con- struction in the most feasible and eeonorsieal mtnnner, financing a portion of the cost in the amount of $1,464,000 in the 1977-1978 Urban System Proirram with funds xeleased •by the previous cancellation and. the remainder in the a:aount of $1,236,000 is the next Urban System Program. ., It is understood that the Cities and/or County may discharge their construction obliga- tions as outlined herein in any manner as they >~y elect.
