APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1158 - ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF $1,400,000.00 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1979 - After the. proposed ordinance was read, motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner Simons to approve Ordinance No. 1158 after correcting page 5, last word of first paragraph, change Council to "Commission". Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, Simons, and Mayor Meza. NAYS: None. CAPTION: ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF THE CITY'S $1,400,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1979, PROVIDING THE DETAILS RELATING THERETO AND DECLARING THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON ITS ADOPTION. + + + • 16. DISCUSS PARK FOR GLEN MEADOWS AND ACCESS TO SAME - Mr. Ted Bogren was recognized and presented a letter to the Commission from the Mischer Corporation assuring the Commission that they intend to pave, with a standard curb and gutter section, the entire length of Farrington Drive to the boundary of the park property. But, due to both engineering and economic factors, this construction must be phased and is to be completed at the time that Section 4 is constructed. They plan to construct a gravel road from the north limit of Section 2 to the south limit of the proposed park. At the time that Section 4 is developed, the street will be completed with curb and gutter. There was a general discussion regarding the park, access and egress to same; whether there should be a major thoroughfare by the park, etc. After a brief discussion, motion by Commission Cline, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to accept the recommendation of the Inspector, Mr. Ben Talburt, and accept the first three streets of Glen Meadows, Section II. A brief discussion ensued. Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin to amend their motion to accept the underground utilities, • storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water, as well as the streets for the first three streets of Glen Meadows, Section II.
