APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1158 - ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF $1,400,000.00 GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1979 - After the. proposed ordinance <br />was read, motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by <br />Commissioner Simons to approve Ordinance No. 1158 after <br />correcting page 5, last word of first paragraph, change <br />Council to "Commission". Motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, Simons, and <br />Mayor Meza. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE, SALE AND <br />DELIVERY OF THE CITY'S $1,400,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, <br />SERIES 1979, PROVIDING THE DETAILS RELATING THERETO AND <br />DECLARING THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY <br />UPON ITS ADOPTION. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />16. DISCUSS PARK FOR GLEN MEADOWS AND ACCESS TO SAME - Mr. Ted <br />Bogren was recognized and presented a letter to the Commission <br />from the Mischer Corporation assuring the Commission that they <br />intend to pave, with a standard curb and gutter section, the <br />entire length of Farrington Drive to the boundary of the park <br />property. But, due to both engineering and economic factors, <br />this construction must be phased and is to be completed at the <br />time that Section 4 is constructed. They plan to construct a <br />gravel road from the north limit of Section 2 to the south <br />limit of the proposed park. At the time that Section 4 is <br />developed, the street will be completed with curb and gutter. <br />There was a general discussion regarding the park, access and <br />egress to same; whether there should be a major thoroughfare <br />by the park, etc. <br />After a brief discussion, motion by Commission Cline, seconded <br />by Commissioner Tomerlin to accept the recommendation of the <br />Inspector, Mr. Ben Talburt, and accept the first three streets <br />of Glen Meadows, Section II. A brief discussion ensued. <br />Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Tomerlin <br />to amend their motion to accept the underground utilities, <br />• storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water, as well as the streets <br />for the first three streets of Glen Meadows, Section II. <br />
