RATIFY AUTHORIZING ADVERTISING AND ACCEPTING BIDS ON BOND <br />PROJECTS TO BE RECEIVED AT 7:00 P.M., ON JUNE 27, 1979 (CONTINUED) <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />Commissioner Cline was of the opinion that more water projects <br />were going to be advertised for bidding. It was determined <br />that additional easements were needed for the 16" Water Main <br />on New Highway 146 and 12" Water Main on McCabe Road Extensions; <br />therefore, they would be bid at a later date. <br />+ + + <br />10. CONSIDER AUTHORIZING ACCEPTING CONTRACT BY SOUTHERN AVIONICS, <br />OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, FOR INSTALLATION OF A LOW F'RE'QUENCY NON- <br />- DIRECTIONAL RADIO BEACON (TEXAS AERONAUTICS COMMISSION) - <br />Motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Cline <br />to authorize accepting the contract by Southern Avionics of <br />• Beaumont, Texas, for the installation of a low frequency non- <br />directional badio beacon with the Texas Aeronautics Commission. <br />Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />A copy of the contract is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. <br />+ + + <br />11. ADMINISTRP,TIVE REPORTS - The Administrator reported that he had <br />attended the Texas City Manager's Conference in Corpus Christi <br />Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, June 1 thru <br />June 5, 1979; The Managers' Development Seminar was Friday and <br />Saturday; the General Conference for Texas City Managers was <br />Sunday through Tuesday. Municipal Problems across the state <br />were discussed; felt it was most beneficial to the City. <br />The Administrator requested an executive session to discuss <br />personnel matters. <br />• <br />
