<br />The Co.~ission has jurisdiction over this matter under Sections 1E, 18, and ',~-47 of
<br />the Public Utility Regulatory Act, TEX.P,E4'.CIV.STAT.Atr'P;. art. 1445c (Sup;. 1979).
<br />Pursuant to Commission Procedural Rules 052.01.00.024(b) and 052.01.00.052, a prehearing
<br />conference will be held at the Commission offices, 7800 Shoal Creek Boulevard, Austin,
<br />Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 1979. The scope of the conference shall
<br />include consideration of motions to intervene, the alignment and grouping of parties,
<br />consideration of whether to suspend the effective date of the proposed rate changes, the
<br />• determination of a procedural timetable to govern the proceedings herein durino the
<br />pendency of this docket, and such other procedural matters as the Examiner shall in his
<br />discretion decide to consider. Motions to intervene shall be filed with the Commission on
<br />•or before Monday, July 9, 1979, and protests to Bell's rate application should be filed by
<br />Monday, August 13, 1919. Any-motion to intervene filed after said July 9 deadline should
<br />contain an allegation stating good cause for such late filing.
<br />Pursuant to Section 43(c) of the above-cited statute, and under the terms of
<br />Commission Procedural Rule 052.01.00.043(a)(2)(B), Bell is hereby directed to provide a
<br />copy of this notice to the Commissioners Court of each county in which any proposed rate
<br />changes would take effect, as well as to each affected municipality.
