CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE N0. 1035-A - ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, <br />SECTION 6-18, CONCERNING PERMISSIBLE FEES AND CHARGES FOR THE TOW- <br />ING OF VEHICLES IN THE CLTY OF LA PORTE"; PROVIDING THAT THE STAN- <br />DARD'CHARGE FOR A NORMAL TOW WILL"NOT EXCEED THIRTY-SEVEN DOLLARS <br />AND FIFTY CENTS ( 37.50) - After the proposed ordinance was read <br />in full, motion by Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to approve Ordinance No. 1035-A as read. Motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Kibodeaux and Simons; Mayor Meza. <br />NAYS: None. <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, SECTION 6-18, CONCERNING PERMISSIBLE <br />FEES AND CHARGES FOR THE TOWING OF VEHICLES IN THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE; PROVIDING THAT THE STANDARD CHARGE FOR A NORMAL <br />TOW WILL NOT EXCEED THIRTY-SEVEN DOLLARS. <br />• <br />10. ADMINISTRATIVE 'REPO'RTS - A. The Administrator informed the <br />Commission of a memo from the Code Enforcement Office regarding <br />the status of repairs to the house located at 1915 Crescent View <br />Drive, (Block 1, Lot 1, Crescent Shores) Matthew Greco; stating <br />that the building was secure and they will continue to watch <br />the building repairs closely and will continue to report back <br />to the Commission. A copy of the memo is attached and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br />B. The Administrator stated that he had .spoken to the <br />Superintendent of Schools, Robert Williams, and they had <br />tentatively scheduled a joint work shop for October 2, 1979, <br />at 7:00 P.M. <br />+ + + <br />Commissioner Simons suggested that the City be the host for <br />the joint meeting since the School was host at the last meeting. <br />C. The Administrator stated that he had enjoyed his vacation <br />very much. <br />+ + + <br />• <br />
