CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1176 - ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR CABLE TELEVISION - After the proposed ordinance was read in full, motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Com- missioner Tomerlin to approve Ordinance No. 1176 as read. Motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. NAYS: None. CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY KIP-LEE CATV, INC., d/b/a/ LA PORTE CABLE TELEVISION, IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE; PROVIDING A PROCEDURE FOR THE CHANGING OF SUCH RATES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Mr. Lester Kamin was recognized and expressed appreciation for being awarded the franchise for the cable television. Commissioner Cline had a question regarding the charges. Mr. Kamin stated that the company would bill the customers for their charges. + + + 6. CONSIDER MAKING A DECISION REGARDING DANGEROUS BUILDINGS LOCATED ON THE FOLLOWINGPROPERTTES: BLOCK 85, LOTS 1 THRU 5, BAY FRONT BLOCK 93, LOTS 17 AND 18, LA PORTE BLOCK 85, LOTS 17 AND 18, LA PORTE BLOCK 88, LOTS 31 AND 32, LA PORTE BLOCK 35, LOTS 23 AND 26, BAY FRONT Commissioner Tomerlin asked if the status had changed on any of the properties since the public hearing? The Assistant Fire Marshal stated that correspondence had been received from Mrs. F. J. Wilson and her son stated that they wished the building to be demolished and another letter stating that they did not want the building demolished (Block 35, Lot 23 and 26, Bayfront Addition). He further stated that another letter had been written by him to see how the Wilsonls were going to take care of the property.
