CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 1176 - ORDINANCE <br />DETERMINING AND FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF RATES TO BE CHARGED <br />FOR CABLE TELEVISION - After the proposed ordinance was read <br />in full, motion by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Tomerlin to approve Ordinance No. 1176 as read. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br /> <br />CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND FIXING THE SCHEDULE OF <br />RATES TO BE CHARGED BY KIP-LEE CATV, INC., d/b/a/ LA PORTE <br />CABLE TELEVISION, IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; PROVIDING A <br />PROCEDURE FOR DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE; PROVIDING A PROCEDURE <br />FOR THE CHANGING OF SUCH RATES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Mr. Lester Kamin was recognized and expressed appreciation <br />for being awarded the franchise for the cable television. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cline had a question regarding the charges. <br />Mr. Kamin stated that the company would bill the customers <br />for their charges. <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />+ <br /> <br />6. CONSIDER MAKING A DECISION REGARDING DANGEROUS BUILDINGS <br />LOCATED ON THE FOLLOWINGPROPERTTES: <br />BLOCK 85, LOTS 1 THRU 5, BAY FRONT <br />BLOCK 93, LOTS 17 AND 18, LA PORTE <br />BLOCK 85, LOTS 17 AND 18, LA PORTE <br />BLOCK 88, LOTS 31 AND 32, LA PORTE <br />BLOCK 35, LOTS 23 AND 26, BAY FRONT <br /> <br />Commissioner Tomerlin asked if the status had changed on any <br />of the properties since the public hearing? The Assistant <br />Fire Marshal stated that correspondence had been received <br />from Mrs. F. J. Wilson and her son stated that they wished <br />the building to be demolished and another letter stating <br />that they did not want the building demolished (Block 35, <br />Lot 23 and 26, Bayfront Addition). He further stated that <br />another letter had been written by him to see how the Wilsonls <br />were going to take care of the property. <br />
