DISCUSS AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH PRECINCT ONE, <br />HARRIS COUNTY, FOR STREET MAINTENANCE AND CONSTRUCTION DUE TO <br />REVISIONS OF HOURLY RATES FOR LABOR AND EQUIPMENT - Motion by <br />Commissioner Simons, seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux to table <br />indefinitely execution of a contract with Precinct One, Harris <br />County since the City has never signed a contract them and will <br />not do so now. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />16. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - The Administrator requested that the <br />Commission consider authorizing amending the contract with <br />Fairmont Joint Venture to do additional work at the intersection <br />of Farrington and West Main. He stated that he had talked with <br />the Engineers of Glen Meadows Subdivision, and they have agreed <br />verbally, and am awaiting for something in writing, if the City <br />will pave the other side up to the first intersection,. we are <br />already paving with the radius, about 40-feet, they have said <br />verbally that they would pay up to 50~ of the cost, not to <br />exceed $6,000.00, and requested authorization from the Commission <br />when confirmation was received in writing, to amend our contract, <br />and pave the first street in Glen Meadows. <br />There was a brief discussion regarding the costs and the fact that <br />it should not increase the City's cost any. There was a brief <br />discussion regarding the number of lots; the size of the lots; <br />the fact that $12,000.00 has been budgeted. <br />• <br />
