CONSIDER APPROVING PROPOSED ORDINANCE N0. 1189 - ORDINANCE <br />GRANTING A PERMIT TO FRANK MOHN, HOUSTON, INC., TO CROSS <br />AVENUE "C" WITH A PRIVATE ELECTRICAL LINE - The proposed <br />or finance was rea in u <br />Commissioner Cline asked if there was any difficulty with <br />the Light Company regarding this permit? <br />The Administrator stated that he haid discussed it with the <br />Light Company representative, Mr. Wyatt and he did not know <br />whether or not they would issue him service or not. He further <br />stated that he had discussed it with the electrical board and <br />there were no objections. <br />Motion by Commissioner Cline, seconded by Commissioner Simons <br />to approve Ordinance No. 1189 as read. Motion carried by the <br />following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Tomerlin, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Simons. <br />NAYS: None. <br />• CAPTION: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT TO FRANK MOHN HOUSTON, <br />INC., FOR A FIFTEEN FOOT (15') WIDE UTILITY EASED~IENT ACROSS <br />THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF WEST "C" STREET, ADJACENT TO THE WEST <br />FIFTEEN FEET (W.15') OF LOT ONE (1), BLOCK SEVEN HUNDRED <br />EIGHTY-SEVEN (787), AND LOT SIXTEEN (16), BLOCK SEVEN HUNDRED <br />SIXTY-TWO (762), TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND <br />PROVIDING THE TERMS OF SUCH PERMIT AND EASEMENT; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />+ + + <br />11. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS - A. The Administrator stated that he <br />had distributed a memo updating projects from all department <br />heads. <br />B. A memo from the Tax Assessor-Collector regarding disability <br />exemptions had been distributed for consideration. If the <br />Commission wished to allow disability exemptions we would have <br />to pass an ordinance the first week of March. <br />A discussion followed regarding the disability exemption. <br />C. The Administrator stated that Chief Freeman, Lieutenant <br />• La Fitte, Sergeant Powell and himself would be in Houston <br />tomorrow getting recertified for defensive driving instructors. <br />D. The Administrator requested an executive session for legal <br />and contractural matters. <br />
