If one spouse meets the age requirements and the other <br />does not, Federal Guidelines state that in case of death <br />of the older spouse, the husband or wife would not be <br />eligible for the program if he or she were not 60. The <br />committee feels that the City should continue to pay for <br />their food until they reach the age of 60. <br />C. All volunteers will pay for food in accordance with the <br />Federal Guidelines. <br /> <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER TOMERLIN TO ADOPT THE GUIDELINES <br />FOR REGULATIONS ON AGE AS PRESENTED BY THE COMMITTEE. Environmental Protection Agency Grant offer No. C481176030, Step <br />3 project for building and erecting a treatment works/sewage <br />treatment plant expansion and collection system improvements was <br />presented. MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER KIBODEAUX TO ACCEPT <br />THE E.P.A. GRANT NO. C481176030 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />SIGN THE GRANT AGREEMENT, seconded by Commissioner Simons. The Board of Equalization presented to the Commission the 1980 <br />Tax Assessment Roll for the City of La Porte, MOTION WAS MADE <br />BY COMMISSIONER CLINE TO ACCEPT THE 1980 TAX ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />AS PRESENTED.
