City Attorney Askins read AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY; CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING AT WHICH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD; PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
