~ ~ <br />4 <br />ORDINANCE NO. /~~Z <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />THE ALLEY IN BLOCK SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY (790), IN THE TOWN OF <br />LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of said alley <br />in Block Seven Hundred Ninety (790) of the Town of La Porte <br />has never been opened or used as a public thorough-fare, and <br />the public utilities now making use of such alley have all <br />given their written consent for its closing; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />C determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br />• the hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not <br />suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public <br />alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. That that portion of the alley located in <br />Block Seven Hundred Ninety (790) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />Harris County, Texas, described as follows, to-wit: <br />Being that portion of the alley in Block Seven <br />Hundred Ninety (790), TOWN OF LA PORTE, Harris <br />County, Texas, situated between Lots Ten (10) <br />through Sixteen (16), both inclusive, on the <br />west side, and Lots Seventeen (17) through <br />Twenty-three (23), both inclusive, on the east <br />side, and being sixteen feet (16') wide and <br />one hundred seventy-five feet (175') in depth, <br />• is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the <br />City of La Porte. <br />Section 2.
