• <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />THE ALLEY IN BLOCK ELEVEN HUNDRED THREE (1103), IN THE TOWN OF <br />LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of said alley <br />in Block Eleven Hundred Three (1103) of the Town of La Porte <br />has never been opened or used as a public thoroughfare, and <br />the public utilities now making use of such alley have all <br />given their written consent for its closing; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />determ~~ned and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br />the hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not <br />• suitable, nee~;ed, or beneficial to the public as a public <br />alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1'. That that portion of the alley located in <br />Block Eleven Hundred Three (1103) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />Harris County, Texas, described as follows, to-wit: <br />Being the North Three Hundred Fifty Feet <br />(N.350') of the alley in Block Eleven <br />Hundred Three (1103), TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />Harris County, Texas, being the portion <br />of the alley situated between Lots One <br />(1) through Fourteen (14), both inclusive, <br />on the West side of the block, and Lots <br />Nineteen (19) through Thirty-two (32), <br />both inclusive, on the East side, and <br />being sixteen feet (16') wide and three <br />hundred fifty feet (350') in depth, <br />is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the <br />City of La Porte. <br />Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- <br />mines, recites and dec:iares that a sufficient written notice <br />of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br />City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public <br />at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law <br />preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, <br /> <br />
