<br />ORDINANCE N0. /'o?JTf <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF <br />THE ALLEY IN BLOCK EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR (824), IN THE <br />TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of said alley <br />in Block Eight Hundred Twenty-four (824) of the Town of La Porte <br />has never been opened or used as a public thoroughfare, and <br />the public utilities now making use of such alley have all <br />given their written consent for its closing; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />determined and does hereby find, determine and declare that <br />• the hereinafter described portion of the said alley is not <br />suitable, needed, or beneficial to the public as a public <br />alley, and should be vacated, abandoned and permanently closed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. That that portion of the alley located in <br />Block Eight Hundred Twenty-four (824) of the TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />Harris County, Texas, described as follows, to-wit: <br />Being that portion of the alley in Block Eight <br />Hundred Twenty-four (824), TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />Harris County, Texas, situated between Lots <br />Ten (10) through Sixteen (16), both inclusive, <br />on the west side, and Lots Seventeen (17) <br />through Twenty-three (23), both inclusive, <br />on the east side, and being sixteen feet (16') <br />wide and one hundred seventy-five feet (175') <br />• in depth, <br />is hereby permanently vacated, abandoned and closed by the <br />City of La Porte. <br />Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- <br />mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice <br />of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br />City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public <br />at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law <br />preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetin s Law, <br />g <br />Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and <br />~1 <br />
