Askins <br />explained all such products are subject to change without <br />notice. In bidding this contract the City has met its legal <br />requirement for this product and may go to the next low bidder <br />at any time. <br />City Manager Hudgens requested a brief executive session to <br />discuss a legal matter and real estate. <br />17. Council Action: <br />Councilperson Faris: I feel compelled to say I am somewhat <br />baffled by tonight's meeting. We had 3 votes against the <br />budget and a unanimous vote for the tax rate to fund the budget. <br />I'm not sure what that means, but I thought it might be worth <br />pointing out. <br />Mayor Meza: We have received a letter from the City of Seabrook <br />inviting us to participate in a parade celebrating their 20th <br />anniversary. I'm not asking for a decision now. We will dis- <br />• cuss it at a workshop. The parade is on October 17. I would <br />request a brief executive session on a personnel matter. <br />18. Council retired into executive session at 8:30 P.M. <br />Council returned to the Council table at 9:25 P.M. <br />19. Motion to adjourn was made by Councilperson Kibodeaux. Seconded <br />by Councilperson Skelton.
