City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING <br />'AND CLOSING A PORTION OF NORTH 12TH STREET; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />The City Secretary advised this is the portion of North 12th <br />Street lying and being situated between Blocks 73 and 684 <br />and between the north right-of-way line of Adams and the <br />south right-of-way line of Tyler Street. The request is <br />from Force Corporation and the appraisal fee and the appraised <br />price for the street has been paid. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Kibodeaux to accept and <br />approve Ordinance No. 128 as read by the City Attorney. <br />Seconded by Councilperson Simons. Seconde <br />by Councilperson Simons. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTEN- <br />TION OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS TO ANNEX ALL OF THAT CERTAIN <br />11.9839 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE ENOCH BRINSON SURVEY, A-5 <br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING AT WHICH ALL <br />INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD; <br />PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY <br />THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF . <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Malone to pass and approve <br />• Ordinance No. 1287 as read by the City Attorney for t e annexa- <br />tion of this 11.9839 acre tract with "Light Industrial-Public <br />Warehouse" classification.
