• <br />u <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, November 4, 1981 <br />Page 4 <br />• <br />Meza: This item will go back to Planning and Zoning with the <br />recommendation that .they be located along a major thoroughfare <br />and we are looking for some additional modifications to it. <br />There is another ordinance that goes with this ordinance that <br />was not put on the agenda. This item. will have to be tabled <br />until such. time as we can hold a public hearing on the second <br />ordinance. This is the ordinance on mobile home subdivisions. <br />7. Council considered casting their ballot for Director of the <br />Harris County Appraisal District for a term beginning January <br />1, 1982. <br />A motion was made to cast La Porte's ballot in favor of Fred <br />Hartman, by Councilperson Simons. Seconded by Councilperson <br />Kibodeaux. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />:~ <br />8. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN <br />ADDITIONAL PENALTY IN CONNECTION WITH DELINQUENT TAXES OWED TO <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTE (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE "TAXING <br />UNIT") <br />A motion was made k <br />adopt Ordinance No. <br />by Councilperson M~ <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Faris, Kibodeaux, <br />Simons, Gay, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />• <br />9. Mayor Meza stated item 9, appointing Directors to the La Porte <br />Area Water Authority is to be tabled.. <br />10. Council considered Change Order No. 6 on the Lomax paving and <br />drainage project. The change order is for an additional 10 tons <br />of lime to produce a more workable subgrade on Houston Avenue, <br />resulting in a net increase on the project of $735.00, bringing <br />the total contract price to $1,277,585..00. <br />A motion was made <br />Om er 6 as recomm <br />~ Councilperson Kibodeaux to approve and <br />1288 as read by the City Attorney.
