The Council considered the recommendation of the Public Works <br />Director for awarding a bid on three (3) 2-ton pickup trucks <br />in the amount of'$8,131.81 each, a total bid price of <br />$24,395.43, to Joe Camp Ford. The trucks are budgeted for <br />the Warehouse, Street Department and Solid Waste Commercial <br />Department. Each department has funds to make up the $131.81 <br />difference between the bid and the budgeted amount. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to award the bid to Joe <br />Camp Ford. Second by Councilperson Westergren. The motion <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Faris, Latimer, Simons, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />7. Council considered the recommendation of Parks Director Stan <br />Sherwood to .award a bid to Gloger Kubota in the amount of <br />$28,844.00 for tractors and tractor equipment (equipment list <br />is a part of these official minutes). Gloger Kubota has met <br />all specifications and is well within the budgeted amount. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to award the tractor <br />and equipment bid to Gloger Kubota in the amount of $28,844.00. <br />Second by Councilperson Simons. <br />Faris: Mr. Mayor, can you tell us what these tractors are <br />going to be used for? <br />Meza: Mowing in the Parks and Recreation Department. <br />Faris: Are the tractors we have now are not particularly <br />adequate? <br />
