• • <br />• Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />March 17, 1982, Page 9 <br />Faris: The problem we had was with the hydraulic system. <br />The equipment was too big for the tractor. <br />Latimer: Are these gas or diesel? <br />Sherwood: Diesel. <br />Latimer: Satisfied with diesel? <br />Sherwood: Yes. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes and 1 nay. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Latimer, Simons, Gay, Skelton, <br />Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: Councilperson Faris <br />8. Council considered Change Order #8 - Lomax Street Paving and <br />Drainage project. <br />• Motion was made b Councilperson Simons authorizing payment <br />of the 650.00 for Change Or er 8, to e pai from the <br />Second y Counci person <br />Longley. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Faris, Latimer, Simons, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />9. Ordinance No. 780-XXX was read by City Attorney Askins: <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CER- <br />TAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFEC- <br />TIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the <br />Ordinance rezoning the east of Bloc 1 3 from Residential II <br />to Commercial. Second by Councilperson Faris. T e motion <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Faris, Latimer, Simons, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Meza <br />Nays: None <br />10. Council considered the Harris County Fire Fighter's Protec- <br />tion Contract for 1982. <br />L~ <br />
