City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING <br />THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN <br />DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br />(4.5 acre tract on McCabe Road) <br />• Mayor Cline called for a motion. <br />There was no motion forthcoming. <br />Mayor Cline declared the issue dead for lack of a motion. <br />7. The City Attorney read: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. <br />780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE <br />CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br />(23 acre tract more or less, out of Lot Thirteen (13), Staashen <br />Subdivision, Save and Except that Portion now being Utilized <br />by Central Freight Lines, Inc.) <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Longley to accept and <br />approve Ordinance No.~80-YYY as rea y City Attorney Askins. <br />Second by Councilperson Pfeiffer. T e motion carried, 6 ayes <br />and 3 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, <br />Westergren <br />Nays: Councilpersons Matuszak, Graves and Mayor Cline <br />8. There being no further business to come before the Council, <br />the meeting was duly adjourned at 7:40 P.M. <br />• <br />
