Council considered .giving authorization to hire a landscape architect. Motion was made`by Councilperson Matuszak to authorize the Cit Mana er to hire a landsca e architect. .Second by Council- person Westergren. City Manager Owen assured Counci tat t is price would probably be much less and that the contract would have to come before Council for final approval. Councilperson Skelton withdrew his motion to amend. • The original motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE WALKWAY ON COLLINGS- WOOD TO CONNECT FAIRMONT PARK EAST, SECTION TWO,~._AND FAIRMONT PARK, SECTION TWO; AUTHORIZING THE OBTAINING OF NECESSARY EASEMENTS FROM EXXON PIPELINE COMPANY; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to adopt and annrove Ordinance No. 1362 as read by the City Attorney, amended to read the ri ht-of-wa be six (6) feet instead of ten (10) feet.
