Council considered Ordinance 780-DDD-.A, to rezone Outlot 62, La Porte Outlots. This outlot was inadvertently left off the original Ordinance 780.-DDD. City Attorneg Askins read: AN ORDINANCE. AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING .THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND. PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 780-DDD.-A as read b the Ct Attorne Second by Councilperson Westergren. T e motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren .and Mayor Cline Nays: None 12. Administrative Reports: City Manager Owen requested an executive session on pending litigation. 13. Council Action: Longley: Enjoyed the ride on the aerial fire truck. Matuszak: Would like the staff to begin ground work on the sign or finance. Would like Council to be provided with copy of Civil Defense plan and asked that the plan be updated. He would like to see a practice held once a year. He likes the idea of giving employee awards for safety. Would like to reinstate the policy of putting the originator's name with their agenda items.
