<br />Ordinance No. , Page 2. <br /> <br />Begin at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1, <br />Block 1131, City of La Porte; said point <br />is further described as being the intersec- <br />tion of the Easterly right-of-way line of <br />said South 9th Street (sixty feet wide) <br />with the Southerly right-of-way line of <br />West "K" Stret (sixty feet wide); <br />Thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING run <br />Southerly along the said Easterly right- <br />of-way line of .9th Street 250 feet to the <br />Northwest corner of Lot 11 of said Block 1131; <br />Thence Westerly along a line which is the <br />Westerly projection of the Northerly line <br />of said Lot 11 a distance of 30 feet to the <br />centerline of said 9th Stret; <br />Thence Northerly along said centerline, 250 <br />feet to the Westerly projection of the <br />Southerly right-of-way line of said West <br />"K" Street; <br />Thence Easterly along the said Westerly pro- <br />jection of West "K" Street 30 feet to the <br />POINT OF BEGINNING; <br />This portion of the right of way of said <br />South 9th Street is vacated, abandoned, <br />and closed by the City Council of the <br />City of La Porte, at the request of the <br />Harris County Flood Control District for <br />the widening and straightening of Little <br />Cedar Bayou. <br />Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- <br />mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice <br />of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br />City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public <br />at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law <br />preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, <br />Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and <br />that this meeting has been open to the public as required by <br />law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject <br />matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally <br />acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and <br />confirms such written notice and the contents and posting <br />thereof. <br />
