Ordinance No. , Page 2. Begin at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1, Block 1131, City of La Porte; said point is further described as being the intersec- tion of the Easterly right-of-way line of said South 9th Street (sixty feet wide) with the Southerly right-of-way line of West "K" Stret (sixty feet wide); Thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING run Southerly along the said Easterly right- of-way line of .9th Street 250 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 11 of said Block 1131; Thence Westerly along a line which is the Westerly projection of the Northerly line of said Lot 11 a distance of 30 feet to the centerline of said 9th Stret; Thence Northerly along said centerline, 250 feet to the Westerly projection of the Southerly right-of-way line of said West "K" Street; Thence Easterly along the said Westerly pro- jection of West "K" Street 30 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; This portion of the right of way of said South 9th Street is vacated, abandoned, and closed by the City Council of the City of La Porte, at the request of the Harris County Flood Control District for the widening and straightening of Little Cedar Bayou. Section 2. The City Council officially finds, deter- mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof.
