T e motion Carrie , <br />7 ayes, nays <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Westergren, Pfeiffer, Longley, Skelton, <br />Gay, Matuszak, Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />City Manager .Owen told Council that the City of Seabrook is <br />interested in an interlocal agreement with La Porte on such <br />items as plastic bags, and staff would be presenting a <br />proposed nterlocal agreement to Council soon for their <br />consideration. <br />14. Council considered purchase of certain motor pool equipment <br />through H-GAC. <br />• Director of Administrative Services Bob Herrera explained that <br />the City.. wanted to make sure they received a favorable bid <br />either through H-GAC or the open market. H-GAC came in with <br />good bid prices, but bids opened December 5, from the open <br />market proved to be $382.00 less on an aggregate total. Staff <br />is recommending, therefore, that this item be removed from the <br />agenda for tonight and to come back to Council at a workshop <br />with a recommendation to use the open market and Timmers Chevro- <br />let~for three (3) staff cars and stay with H-GAC for needed <br />police vehicles. <br />Ater discussion, a motion was made b Council erson Skelton to <br />tab e item 1 until t o Decem er t meetin Secon y <br />Counci person P ei er. Council reviewed recommendations and considered awarding a <br />contract for sludge transfer pump station at the sewer treat- <br />ment plant. <br />City Manager Jack Owen stated that Turner, Collie and Braden <br />• had prepared the bid specifications for this project and let <br />the bids. P & L Associates was low bidder at $26,034.00; <br />meets all requirements, and T,C&B recommends that the award <br />be made to P & L Associates and staff concurs with this <br />recommendation. <br />
