~ ~ <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />January 19, 1983, Page 2 <br />City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 1000 OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE <br />AREAS WHERE BEER FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE PREMISES MAY BE SOLD <br />AND PROHIBITING THE SALE ELSEWHERE; PROVIDING FOR HOURS OF <br />OPEN AND CLOSING; PROVIDING SALE OF BEER FOR CONSUMPTION OFF <br />PREMISES SHALL NOT BE AFFECTED; DEFTNTN6 SOURCE OF AUTHORITY; <br />PROVIDING THAT NO LICENSE SHALL BE LSSUED EXCEPT FOR THE <br />AREAS HEREIN 'DESIGNATED; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW. <br />A motion was made by'Councilperson Matuszak to deny the <br />passage of the ordinance as read by the City Attorne . <br />Second by Councilperson Malone. T e motion to deny carried, <br />5 ayes and 1 nay. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer <br />and Mayor Pro-Tem Skelton <br />Nays: Councilperson Gay <br />Councilperson Malone requested the City Manager to call to <br />the Police Chief's attention the enforcement of Ordinance <br />• No. 1000 to assure the City of compliance with Section 2. <br />Councilperson Matuszak seconded this request. <br />7. Council considered Ordinance 915-T: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING <br />A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-A-3 OF"ORDINANCE NO 915,."PIPELINE <br />TRANSPORTATION," BEING-.CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; AND .APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br />OF ENTERPRISE PRODUCTS COMPANY, TO CONSTRUCT TWO SIX INCH (6") <br />PIPELINES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />A motion was made. by Councilperson Graves to approve and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 915-T as read-. Second by Counc~rson <br />Pfeiffer.
