Mayor Cline presented certificates to the_Public Works <br />Employee of the Month for December - Martha Eldridge; <br />and for November - Walter Barnes. <br />5. Mr. Tony Gonzales - 518 S. Utah was not present. <br />6. .Paula Bridges addressed the Council on the need. in the City <br />of La Porte for a "Truck Ordinance." <br />7. Council considered.: AN ORDINANCE ANiENDTNG CHAPTER 25, .ARTICLE <br />IV, SECTION 25-64, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PO RTE TO INCLUDE BOATS, HOUSE TRAILERS, TRUCK TRACTORS, <br />RANCH TRAILERS, AND UTILITY. TRAILERS; AND AMENDING CHAPTER. 25, <br />ARTICLE V, SECTION 25-80, ET SEQ, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PO RTE; BY ADDING TO THE DEFINITION OF TRUCK <br />TRAFFIC; BY ADDING DEFINITIONS OF "BOAT", "DAYTIME", HOUSE <br />TRAILER",'NIGHTTIME", "RANCH TRAILER", "TRUCK TERMTNP,L", <br />SHIPPING CONTAINERS", "UTILITY TRAILERS", AND "SHIPPING CON- <br />TAINER STORAGE YARDS", AND BY LIMITING THE LOCATION OF TRUCK <br />TERMINALS; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND <br />SHALL UPON CONVICTION BE FINED NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($200.00); CONTAINING SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING <br />CLAUSES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Amotion was made by Councilperson Longley to approve and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 1352 as read by the City Attorney. Second <br />ncilperson Graves... <br />After brief discussion, a motion to amend the Ordinance No. <br />1351 by adding the figure 10,000 pounds to Section 25-80 <br />Definitions: Light Truck - Any truck (as defined in this <br />article) with a limited manufacturer's rated carrying capacity <br />of 10,000 pounds. Second by Councilperson Longley. The motion <br />to amend carried,. 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes:.
