,.__ _ <br />. , ,~~,..~.,a,-... .~. _ ~, F , _ <br />Request by Swisco Industrial Gases of Southeast Texas <br />For Water and Sewer Service Outside the City of La Porte <br />The request for water and sewer service has been reviewed by staff. <br />Based on utility demands supplied by the applicant, the City of La Porte <br />can furnish adequate ~!tilities. <br />Sewer <br />The 21" trunk main along Fairmont Parkway fronts the site in question <br />and has adequate capacity available to meet the demands projected by Swisco. <br />If service is approved by Council, Swisco will be required to enter into a <br />utility extension agreement and comply with the service plan for the 21" <br />and 36" trunk main adopted by Council on March 16, 1983. <br />Water <br />Presently there is no water service available to the site. In order to <br />provide adequate service the developer would be required to extend the existing <br />12" water line across their entire frontage and meet all other requirements of <br />the policy established by Council on January 5, 1983. <br />Fire Protection <br />• The request for potable water service did not include the statement on <br />fire protection as required by the City's policy. The City's Fire Marshal, <br />Paul Hickenbottom, will be contacting Swisco and should have additional infor- <br />mation available at the workshop. <br /> <br />~z <br />
