Council considered making a contribution to Texas Municipal <br />Leagues Cable TV Defense Fund. This fund will be used to <br />lobby against a Federal Legislative bill that would remove <br />control of local cable TV companies from City Councils. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Graves to contribute <br />175 as the City s.s are to the TML Cable TV Defense Fund. <br />Second by Counci person Westergren. The motion carried, <br />9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren, Malone, Longley and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />19. Council considered participation in the Texas Municipal <br />League Southwestern Bell Trust Fund. This is to help <br />TML protest the proposed rate increase by Southwestern Bell. <br />Motion was made-by'Councilperson Malone to contribute <br />�695.40 as the City's share for the TML Southwestern Bell <br />Trust Fund. Second by Councilperson Skelton.
