Don Skelton, <br />Linda Westergren, Norman Malone, John Longley <br />Members of the City Council Absent: Councilpersons Kevin <br />Graves, Edward Matuszak <br />EMERGENCY CALLED MEETING <br />Members of the City Staff Present: City Manager Jack Owen, <br />Assistant City Secretary Cherie Black, Director of Adminis- <br />trative Services Bob Herrera, Public Works Director Jerry <br />Hodge <br />• <br />Others Present: <br />Linda Castleberry, Bayshore Sun-Broadcaster <br />2. Mayor Cline read: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE CITY OF LA PORTE TO THE TEXAS COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM EMERGENCY/DISCRETIONARY FUND, FOR <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN HURRICANE ALICIA STORM DAMAGE TO THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Motion was made. by Councilperson Skelto <br />Resolution 83-16 as read by the Mayor. <br />Westergren.. The motion carried, 7 ayes <br />to a <br />Secon <br />e and adopt <br />Councilperson <br />and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren, <br />Malone, Longley and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />3.
