(Bob <br />Herrera had .written them a letter and has set up a meeting <br />with them for next week. A copy of the letter will be put <br />in their boxes for Mayor and Council.) <br />Skelton: Please mention when you meet with. them that several <br />people still haven't received their refund for service inter <br />rupted by the hurricane. <br />Clines The office here is now being kept open all day instead <br />of half a day . <br />Matuszak: Welcome to school board - we-have a lot of things <br />in common with the growth of the City. Please come to the <br />meeting on the 23rd and on the 30th to the public meeting. <br />Invited everyone on Council who would like to join him on the <br />sign ordinance committee to please do so. <br />Did we get photographs taken of the areas we have just annexed? <br />• (Yes . ) <br />Graves: Welcome to the school. I'm ..proud of the .progress we <br />have made. Glad to see donation to police reserves and volun- <br />teer firemen. Would like to see us be able to do it for all <br />City employees around Christmas time in the form of a Christmas <br />package of some sort. Maybe we can work on that for a year or <br />two down the line. <br />Pfeiffer: Wishes everyone a prosperous new year. Wish the <br />school board good luck with .their bond issue. Hopes everyone <br />will get out and support it. <br />G_~': Happy New Year to each of you. Happy the school board <br />is making an effort to improve and better education. Ts grate- <br />ful to Mrs. Westergren for bringing up the idea to do something <br />for the volunteer fire department and police. God bless you. <br />Skelton: Af ter all this past year with the floods, ,hurricanes, <br />freezes and everything but an earthquake,. is looking forward <br />to a real good year in 1984. Welcome to the school board and <br />other interested. people who came tonight. Come back at any <br />time.. ..We're glad to have you. We're-certainly going to sup- <br />port the bond issue and hope it works out for the people of the <br />community . <br />• Westergren: Welcome to the school board; glad to have you <br />here. We appreciate the time gone into background and work <br />done on your bond issue. You certainly have prepared youx case <br />very well; hope you .have success in passing it. <br />
