<br />LJ <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br /> <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />T0: <br />FROM: <br />SUBJECT: <br />,nager DATE: March 9, 1984 <br />for of Public Works <br />Debby Rihn, with H & R Aviation, and representing Chapter 25 of <br />the International Aerobatic Club, has applied to the FAA for a <br />Certificate of Waiver to hold an airshow at the La Porte Municipal <br />Airport. The FAA has indicated that the certificate will be issued <br />when. special provisions and conditions are met - primarily safety <br />measures. <br />Although the primary responsibility for safety and operation of <br />the airshow rests with the sponsoring organization, Chapter 25 <br />of the International Aerobatic Club, the City will need to provide <br />an ambulance and fire protection at the airport while the show is <br />in progress, in addition to crowd and automobile traffic control. <br />• Representatives of Chapter 25 of the International Aerobatic Club <br />will be a the Council Meeting on March 14, 1984, to present their <br />plan to meet FAA requirements and to request services needed from <br />the City. In addition, authorization is needed from City Council <br />to allow the airshow to take place on the La Porte Municipal Airport. <br />If you should have any questions, please advise. <br />JH/me <br />• <br />.
