~ • <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 915-U <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-A-3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION, BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS; AND APPROVING <br />THE APPLICATION OF UNION CARBIDE CORPORATION DATED JANUARY 13, <br />1984, TO CONSTRUCT A SIXTEEN INCH (16") OXYGEN PIPELINE AND TO <br />CONSTRUCT A SIXTEEN INCH (16") NITROGEN PIPELINE; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has <br />• received an application dated January 13, 1984, from Union <br />Carbide Corporation, requsting permit under Section 18-A-3 <br />of Ordinance No. 915, being Chapter 18-A of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of La Porte, to construct a sixteen <br />inch (16") oxygen pipeline, and to construct a sixteen inch <br />(16") nitogen pipeline, crossing the City of La Porte, all as <br />shown on said application. The application of Union Carbide <br />Corporation has been reviewed by the City's Director of Public <br />Works, who has found that said application meets all require- <br />ments of said Ordinance No. 915, and has recommended its <br />approval. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte <br />• hereby approves the application of Union Carbide Corporation, <br />dated January 13, 1984, and this Ordinance shall constitute <br />a permit to Union Carbide Corporation to lay and construct <br />said pipelines within the City of La Porte, all in conformance <br />with the requirements of said Ordinance No.~915. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage and approval. <br />u <br />~/ <br />
