A total of ten (10) officers <br />will be needed each day: two officers at West Maim and Farrington and <br />West Main and 26th Street; one officer at the VIP parking area and the <br />Air National Guard parking lot; and four G4~ officers in the spectator <br />area. All officers will report at 10:00a.m. and work until 4:OOp.m., <br />for a total of six hours. The cost will be $720.00 per day, for a <br />total of $1,440.00. <br />In order to maintain a smooth flow of tra~~ic before, during <br />and after the show, the following actions are recommended: <br />10:00a.m. - All officers report to assignments and begin <br />• directing traffic as needed. <br />12:30p.m. - All traffic on West Maim between Farrington and <br />26th will be rerouted if not attending air show. <br />Barricades will be placed at Farrington and 26th. <br />Street. <br />4:OOp.m. - Barricades remain in place until all parking spaces <br />are nearly empty. Westbound lanes of Wrest Main at <br />Farrington and eastbound lanes~at West Main and <br />26th will be open to traffic. <br />Alternate: If Driftwood is open to traffic, two officers will be <br />needed to handle traffic and barricades will be needed also. If Airport <br />Boulevard is open to traffic, one officer will be needed. The additional <br />cost would be $432.00. <br />We have written Harris County Engineer Dick Doss, asking their <br />permission to block Spencer Hwy. during the mentioned hours, since Spencer <br />Hwy. is a county roadway. We will forward the county's answer to your <br />• office immediately upon receipt. <br />C2) <br />
