Second by Councilperson <br />Matuszak. The motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, <br />Westergren, Malone, Longley, Matus'zak, and Mayor Cline. <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />10. Council considered appointments to the La Porte Area Water <br />Authority Board which was tabled from the meeting of 3-21-84. <br />Councilman Skelton asked that these appointments be taken to <br />executive session. <br /> <br />11. Council considered approving Ordinance 915-W granting pipe- <br />. line permit to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. <br /> <br />, <br />\... <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read:AN ORDINANCE': GRANTING A PERMIT <br />UNDER SECTION l8-A-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915 "PIPELINE <br />TRANSPORTATION", BEING CHAPTER l8-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS: AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br />OF AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS, INC. DATED MARCH 27, 1984, TO <br />CONSTRUCT TWO (2) TWELVE INCH (12") OXYGEN PIPELINES AND TO <br />CONSTRUCT THREE (3) TWELVE INCH (12") INDUSTRIAL GAS PIPELINES <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Pfeiffer to approve the <br />Ordinance as read by City Attorney Askins granting the <br />i elin ermit to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Administrative Reports: <br /> <br />Mr. Owen briefed the Council on the Junk Vehicle Ordinance <br />and its enforcement. <br />A memo on the number of Residential permits issued by the <br />Code Enforcement Division was read for the first quarter per <br />year since 1982. In 1982 88 residential permits were issued. <br />1983- 104 permits issued, 1984- 194 residential permits <br />issued and this is only for the first quarter, through March. <br />Mr. Owen also requested an executive session on land <br />acquisition. <br />
