Gartrell, Jr. P.E., R.P.S. <br />Dear Mr. Gartrell: <br />In the past, the City of La Porte Police and Fire Departments, <br />as well as our Ambulance Service, have had'~difficulties responding <br />to calls to addresses on streets where the names have been <br />continued from one section of a subdivision to the next but the <br />street has not. As you can see, this is cause for concern as <br />valuable time is wasted finding the correct section of the street. <br />As was mentioned in Item One (1) under general comments of our <br />letter to your firm dated January 13, 1983, this problem exists in <br />Brookglen Section III. Therefore, the City is considering council <br />action to have certain street names changed to avoid any increase <br />in the problems I mentioned before. If either you or Mr. Sullivan <br />of Kay Homes wish to submit street names to be considered, please <br />feel free to do so. <br />Attached is a listing of street names currently in use in <br />La Porte and the immediate vicinity.
