Second by Councilperson <br />Westergren. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Malone, Longley, <br />Matuszak, Graves, Gay and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />10. Council considered accepting bids for street paving and drainage <br />improvements. <br />John Joerns presented the bid tabulations to Council. They <br />will be attached to the minutes. Several paving material <br />options for residential and commercial streets had been con- <br />sidered for the project. Mr. Joerns detailed each of them <br />for Council. <br />After questioning from Council regarding prices, materials, <br />areas to be paved, engineering fees, addition funds needed, <br />etc., motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to accept <br />Alternate I and II. Second by Councilperson Graves. <br />• After further discussion and questions, Mr. Herrera asked that <br />before the vote was taken, that the motion include the transfer <br />of whatever funds are necessary from the General Fund contingency <br />fund. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to amend the motion, & <br />to accept the second recommendation for $398,152.04. Second <br />by Councilperson Skelton. The amendment was defeated, 2 ayes, <br />3 nays, 3 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren <br />Nays: Councilpersons Matuszak, Graves, ai~d.Mayor Cline <br />Abstain: Councilpersons M~lo.ne, Longley, Gay <br />The vote on the main motion was then taken; to accept Alternate <br />I and II for $473,760. The motion carried, 4 ayes, 3~nays, <br />1 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Longley, Matuszak, Graves and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Gay <br />Abstain: Councilperson Malone <br />11. Council considered approving a resolution for the termination <br />of Step I of EPA Grant, Lomax planning area. <br />• City Attorney Askins read: RESOLUTION 84-6 - A RESOLUTION <br />REQESTING TERMINATION OF STEP I EPA GRANT NO.
