I feel those stakes, <br />from what measuring I have done, are very good; <br />especially I think they~re very good if we can go <br />in there from a starting point - wherever - I'm so <br />surveyor. <br />Mr. Malone: There's bound to be a bench mark somewhere close <br />by. <br />Mr. Wester- <br />gren: And find the old stakes and then just by means of <br />measurement, the other fence lines and property <br />line and street right-of-ways seem to jive out <br />within inches. <br />Mayor Cline: Mr. Owen, the city crews are doing this road work <br />in the Oakhurst Addition? <br />Mr. Owen: Yes, the work is being done by the city crews. <br />Mayor Cline: Have they done any kind of surveying or looking for <br />corner stakes or anything to determine the width of <br />this particular area? Of the street? <br />Mr. Owen: Our crews have not. In other words, they would <br />reconstruct, in other words, where the road way <br />was. <br />Mayor Cline: My question is, has the City made an effort to <br />determine whether or not there is an encroachment <br />on this particular street right-of-way? <br />Mr. Owen: We have not. I would feel that we would need a <br />survey. The survey that Mr. Westergren is <br />referring to may be ever so adequate; however, I <br />would not, myself, feel perfectly safe, I~11 say, <br />with using something like that unless we had a <br />• <br />
