I <br />• <br />• Minutes, Special Called Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />September 26, 1984, Page 2 <br />us from getting the grants and any new construction will comply. <br />The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 84-17 - A RESOLUTION AC- <br />CEPTING A GRANT FOR AIRPORT PROJECT 3-48-0127-02 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Resolution <br />84-17 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Gay. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Westergren, Matuszak, Pfeiffer, Gay, <br />Skelton and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />3. Council was to consider an agreement with Bayshore Municipal <br />Utility District to serve the Lakeland Group. <br />The Mayor explained that this item would not be addressed, as <br />the parties in question have reached an agreement; BayMUD will <br />serve the Lakeland Group and no action by our City Council will <br />be necessary. <br />• 4. The Mayor then read the emergency addendum and certification. <br />The emergency addendum is: DISCUSS POLLING PLACE FOR DISTRICT <br />3 FOR THE ELECTION OF SEPTEMBER 29, 1984. <br />The polling place (Fairmont Park Baptist Church) has a severe <br />problem with fleas and is scheduled to be exterminated on the <br />day of the election. The City Attorney has determined that the <br />election should be held at that site. Arrangements have been <br />made for a portable building to be placed at the site~for use <br />as a polling place. There will be a large sign placed on the <br />building to indicate it is the polling place. <br />5. There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting was duly adjourned at 7:17 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted: <br />(~~~ <br />Cherie Black, City.
