Second by Couneilperson Malone. <br />11. Council considered appointing a Council member and alternate <br />as voting representatives for the City of La Porte at the TML <br />meeting in Dallas. This item was taken to executive session. <br />12. Council considered an ambulance service contract with Morgan's <br />Point. <br />The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 84-22 - A RESOLUTION OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />ENTRY INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF MORGAN'S POINT FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF AMBULANCE SERVICE BY THE CITY OF LA PORTS TO THE <br />CITY OF MORGAN'S POINT UPON TERMS AND CONDITIONS SPECIFIED IN <br />A CERTAIN CONTRACT; APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF SAID CONTRACT BY <br />THE CITY OF LA PORTS PURSUANT TO AUTHORITY GRANTED BY THE <br />INTERLOCAL COOPERATION ACT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />• Motion was made by CouncilDerson Gav to approve and adopt <br />Reso u '0 8422 as read by the City Attorn~. Second by <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Bridges, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />13. Council considered transfer of.funds from Contingency fund to <br />Capital Outlay Budget to award bid on 10-ton air conditioner <br />unit for Evelyn Kennedy Civic Center. <br />The C~.ty Manager explained that it had been anticipated that <br />this bid would be awarded during the past fiscal year but it <br />did not make it; therefore, since the funds had not been <br />reappropriated for. this fiscal year, a budget transfer is <br />necessary. Mr. Owen reviewed the five bids that had been <br />received, and stated that low bidder meeting specifications <br />was Coastal Heating & Air Conditioning Company. <br />• <br /> <br /> <br />
