He was <br />willing, however, to go ahead and work on the house and <br />improve it where the inspectors would be satisfied that it is <br />not a dangerous building. <br />Councilperson Westergren asked the legal consequences of going <br />ahead with declaring the house a dangerous building with it <br />being in litigation. The City Attorney replied that the City <br />has superior rights to any owner's rights, but that all <br />parties involved in the litigation would have to be notified. <br />Councilperson Skelton asked if this house was used for <br />residential services only. Mr. Martin replied that he has not <br />used it as a residence, but it has been used for storage. If <br />he is permitted to repair the house, it will be used as a <br />residence. <br />• The Mayor asked if anyone wished to speak in regards to any of <br />the other properties on the list of dangerous buildings, <br />either pro or con. No one responded. <br />The Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br />6. Council considered an ordinance rezoning Reserve Tract "K", <br />Brookglen, Section III, from R-1 to Commercial. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 780-HHHH - AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDIiJG ORDINANCE N0. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTS ZONING <br />ORDINANCE, BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN <br />PARCEL OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilge.~son Skelton to adogt Ordinance <br />780-HHHH as read by the City Attorn~. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Bridges to table Ordinance <br />X80-HHHH. Second by Councilperson Malone.
