Mr. Herrod was presented a plaque. 6. Mr. Eugene Hovey, City Auditor, presented the annual audit to Council. 7. The Mayor asked for citizen input regarding the City of La Porte's FY 1985 Community Development Block Grant Project Proposals. There was no citizen input. The proposals receiving consideration this year are major water distribution improvements and fire hydrant placement in the Spenwick Place neighborhood, and additional funding to supplement the City's ongoing dangerous building demolition program. 8. Council considered an ordinance updating City of La Porte Electrical Code. This had been tagged from the meeting of February 20 by Councilperson Skelton. • Councilperson Skelton addressed sections of the ordinance he was not in agreement with: Section 1, article 1.20 regarding insurance requirements and Section 3, regarding master electrician licenses. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to pass section 2,, 4,, 5 and 6. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. Motion was made by Councilperson Gav to table the ordinance updating the Citv of La Porte Electrical Code until it could be rewritten by the City Attorney to reflect the changes. Second by Councilperson Waters. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. - Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline Nays: None 9. Council considered an ordinance changing two street names. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1437 - AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF WEST "F" STREET, TO MAGNA STREET, AND CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF WEST "G" STREET, TO FLOW STREET;~AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
