• <br />ORDINANCE 1254-B <br />-2- <br />• <br />by it in correcting deficiencies in said work, <br />said deficiencies being defined under the terms of this Ordinance <br />and the National Electric Code. <br />Such insurance shall be written by an accredited company <br />under the supervision of the Board of Insurance Commissioners of <br />the State of Texas. <br />Evidence of compliance with the above insurance requirements <br />shall be considered as having been met when the policy, or copy <br />thereof, or certificate of insurance has been filed with and <br />approved by the Electric Board. Such policy shall include an <br />endorsement thereon that the Electrical Board will be notified <br />at least fifteen (15) days in advance in the event of the policy <br />or policies being cancelled or expiring before the expiration <br />date of the license. <br />Section 2. The Electric Code of the City of La Porte, <br />Ordinance No. 1254, Part l., Section 1.30 of the Code of Ordiances <br />of the City of La Porte, Texas, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows, to-wit: <br />1.30 Adoption of National Electric Code. The regulations <br />and rules of the National Board of Fire Underwriters embodied <br />in the National Electric Code, 1984 version, are hereby adopted <br />as the rules and regulations to govern and to be observed and <br />followed in all electric wiring and in all electrical con- <br />struction, installation, repair, alteration, operation and main- <br />tenance of electric wiring, apparatus, and fixtures, except in- <br />sofar as they may conflict with the provisions of the City of <br />La Porte Electric Code. In a case of conflict between the pro- <br />visions of the National Electric Code and the provisions of the <br />City of La Porte Electric Code, the provisions of the City of <br />La Porte Electric Code shall prevail. <br />~~ <br />
