<br />• • <br />Minutes, Special Called Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />• April 10, 1985, Page 3 <br />The newly seated Councilmembers and the Mayor expressed their <br />thanks to all who had helped them in their campaign and who <br />had voted for them, and pledged themselves to doing their best <br />for the City of La Porte and its citizens. <br />7. Ms. Eleanor Busby was to appear before Council to introduce <br />the new Director of the La Porte Neighborhood Center, but was <br />unable to attend the meeting. <br />8. Council considered appointing a member to the Redistricting <br />Committee. <br />Councilperson Walker submitted the name of Vivian Covington to <br />Council for their consideration. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to appoint Vivian <br />Covington to the Redistricting Com it ee. Second by <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton and Mayor Malone <br />• Nays: None <br />g. Council considered the consent agenda as follows: <br />A. Consider awarding a bid on night vision scope <br />B. Consider awarding a bid on color photography lab <br />equipment <br />C. Consider entering into Cooperative Purchasing Agreement <br />with H-GAC to purchase tape logging equipment and <br />accessories <br />D. Consider entering Interlocal Agreement with H-GAC for <br />purchase of plastic bags <br />E. Consider awarding a bid for malathion <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to aporove the consent <br />agenda as presented. Second by Councilperson Matuszak.
