Mayor Malone recommended taking this item into executive session, and it was so moved by Councilperson Westergren and seconded by Councilperson Matuszak. 12. Council considered a resolution for a reimbursement commitment to Exxon Pipeline airport project. The City Manager explained that this work is required in conjunction with Airport improvements that we are presently taking bids on, and is in conjunction with an FAA grant that we have received for airport improvements. The pipelines need to be lowered in order for roads and taxiways to be built. Exxon wants commitment from Council that they will be • reimbursed for lowering the pipelines. This would be reimbursable from the FAA grant on a 90-10 basis. Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to approve the resolution for a reimbursement commitment to Exxon Pipeline. Second by Councilperson Skelton. The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 85-8 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH EXXON PIPELINE COMPANY TO LOWER ITS PIPELINES TO ACCOMMODATE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE TAXI LANES AND ONE ACCESS ROAD AT THE CITY OF LA PORTE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS FOR SUCH PROJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Matuszak, Waters, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone Nays: None 13. Council considered awarding a contract for construction of Police and Fire Station parking lots. Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to award the bid for the construction of Police and Fire Station parking lots to • $51,00 .40. Second by Councilperson Westergren. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays.
