A plaque of appreciation to Doug Latimer, former chairman <br />of the Planning and Zoning Commission, for his contributions <br />to the City in that capacity. <br />B. A meritorious achievement award to Bob Bishop for his <br />heroic efforts to revive an accident victim. <br />C. A meritorious achievement award to Charles '~Tim~~ Hargrave <br />for his heroic efforts in leading three children to safety <br />during a fire. <br />D. The Employee of the Quarter award to Cynthia Alexander of <br />the Finance Department, for her outstanding contributions of <br />service to the City. <br />Council then considered item 18, due to the bond consultants <br />having another meeting they needed to attend. <br />Council considered setting a date for sale of five million <br />dollars in general obligation bonds and six million dollars in <br />revenue bonds. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to authorize the City <br />Manager and the bond consultant~~~yid Egtzgt, to set a date <br />for the last two weeks in September for the bond sale, to <br />coineisl~-w~~h_~sla1<e__that_ would be to the best interest of the <br />Citv. Second by Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 9 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: Nays <br />11. The regular order of the agenda was then continued. There <br />were no petitions, remonstrances, communications, or citizens <br />and taxpayers wishing to address Council. <br />12. Council considered an ordinance allowing a duplex in an R-2 <br />zone. <br />
