<br />ORDINANCE NO. 915-K-(A)
<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A PERMIT GRANTED UNDER SECTION 18-A-3 OF
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER
<br />18-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS;
<br />AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CONOCO, INC., SUCCESSOR TO
<br />CONTINENTAL OIL COMPANY, DATED AUGUST 2, 1985, FOR THE AMENDMENT
<br />OF THE PERMIT GRANTED UNDER ORDINANCE 915-K ON SEPTEMBER 20,
<br />1978, TO TRANSPORT ETHYLENE, OIL, GAS, AND THE PRODUCTS AND
<br />BY-PRODUCTS THEREOF, INCLUDING ETHYLENE, ETHANE AND NATURAL GAS
<br />THROUGH SUCH PIPELINE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
<br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte has
<br />received an application dated August 2, 1985, from Conoco, Inc.,
<br />Successor to Continental Oil Company, requesting an amendment
<br />to its permit under Section 18-A-3 of Ordinance No. 915, being
<br />Chapter 18-A of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte,
<br />which permit was granted by Ordinance 915-K, passed and approved
<br />on September 20, 1978, to expand the allowable products to be
<br />transported through its eight inch (8") and six inch (6") pipe-
<br />lines crossing the City of La Porte, to includ a oil, gas, and
<br />the products and by-products thereof, including ethylene, ethane,
<br />and natural gasoline, all as shown on said application. The
<br />application of Conoco, Inc., has been reviewed by the City's
<br />Director of Public Works, who had found that said application
<br />meets all requirements of said Ordinance No. 915, and has re-
<br />commended its approval.
<br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte
<br />hereby approves the application of Conoco, Inc., dated August
<br />2, 1985, to amend its permit, and this Ordinanc a shall con-
<br />stitute a permit to Conoco, Inc., to operate a six inch (6")
<br />and an eight inch (8") pipeline, to transport oil, gas, and
<br />the products and by-products thereof, including ethylene, ethane,
<br />and natural gasoline.
