Council considered an ordinance establishing new emergency <br />medical services rates. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1500 - AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHING A NEW EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES RATE STRUCTURE <br />FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Council~erson to adopt Ordinance 1S00. <br />Second by Councilperson Pfeiffer. The City Attorney pointed <br />out that an effective date for the rates needed to be <br />established. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Pfeiffer for an effective <br />rate date of July 1. Second by Councilperson Porter. The <br />motion failed, 0 ayes and 5 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br />Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Pfeiffer and <br />Mayor Malone (Councilperson Gay had not yet arrived). <br /> <br />Motion was made bY Councilperson Matuszak for an effective <br />rate date of June 10. Second by Councilperson Lloyd. Second by Councilperson <br />Lloyd. The motion carried, 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
