C <br /> <br />~"` -::. ` <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />~a~ <br />T0: Robert r ra, City Manager DATE: June 1, 1987 <br />FROM: Steve i , Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZATION <br />RE: FAIRMONT PARKWAY RELIEF SANITARY SEWE R <br />REVISIONS BETWEEN 16TH STREET AND LIFT~STATION ~~ 29 <br />On August 11, 1986, Turner Collie & Braden submitted', a request for <br />authorization and payment for Special Services, in t~!he amount of <br />$4,600 for the above referenced project. The requeslt was in <br />response to the concern with obtaining easements through privately <br />owned property west of 17th Street, as shown on the~~;original <br />approved plans for this project. The plans were rea,ised to .route <br />the line down 16th Street to Fairmont Parkway, and t~ihe contractor <br />is nearing completion. <br />At the time of this request, City Staff raised quesf,ions about the <br />amount of time and effort needed to change the route. Requests <br />were made to Turner Collie & Braden to provide additional backup <br />material to support the request. Since that time, due in part to <br />various changes in both City and TC&B staff, the matter has been <br />neglected. <br />After a meeting between City staff and TC&B on April' 27, 1986, <br />TC&B submitted further documentation to support the ;time and <br />effort expended to calculate its proposed fee. Numerous meetings <br />including three with the affected property owner, the route <br />surveyor, the railroad, and various pipeline companies were <br />necessary to reroute the project.. Also included were engineer and <br />draftsman manhours necessary to redesign and revisejcontraet <br />drawings. <br />
